August 19, 2020

This week, Sara teaches us about Dr. Marian Croak, Google's VP of Engineering who was voted "Best Black Engineer of the Year" and "Most Influential Woman in Wireless"!

Dr. Croak has pioneered a number of advances in technology, including installing wifi on India's rail system, creating the technology that allows charities to collect money via text message, and Project Loon, the use of air balloons to expand wireless coverage. She holds over 200 patents (possibly as many as 350) and continues to advance what we think of as possible with technology and the Internet.
