Shere Hite — Sex Educator Who Discovered Women Don't Need Men to Achieve Pleasure [Sara Gorsky]

Shere Hite was denied her request to major in female sexuality at Columbia University, so she studied Social History instead. After being horrified to learn her face was being used in a misogynistic typewriter campaign, she dove headfirst into the feminist movement. At a meeting of her peers, the topic of whether or not all women are capable of achieving orgasm arose, and Shere Hite decided to research the topic. Her findings were immortalized in The Hite Report, which to this day sends shivers down the spines of misogynists everywhere...
